IntelliClear Selects Choice Humanitarian as its Latest Clarity Trust Recipient

CHOICE builds infrastructure and instills principles of self reliance to empower villages to break the cycle of poverty

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, September 22, 2011 – IntelliClear today announced the selection of CHOICE Humanitarian as the latest recipient of its annual Clarity Trust donation. Under the yearly program, IntelliClear contributes 1% of its corporate profits to outstanding charitable organizations as part of an on-going corporate commitment to supporting worldwide communities and humanitarian efforts.

“Despite a difficult economic climate, we at IntelliClear are honored to share our blessings and contribute to the selfless efforts of CHOICE Humanitarian, an organization dedicated to the development of essential living infrastructure in villages around the globe,” says Eric Shuster, President and CEO of IntelliClear.

“As a small business, IntelliClear urges companies of all sizes to give whatever contributions they can to make a difference in the lives of those suffering in impoverished countries—many who may never emerge from poverty without a helping hand from organizations such as CHOICE Humanitarian,” says Alex Kalamarides, Ph.D., Managing Director and General Partner of IntelliClear.

CHOICE Humanitarian conducts expeditions each year in such countries as Nepal, Guatemala, Mexico, Kenya and Bolivia. Projects include construction of schools, hospitals, water systems, greenhouses, biogas digesters and other needed facilities. Volunteers from CHOICE Humanitarian also help with microcredit, micro-enterprise, women’s savings programs, healthcare and many other critical village needs. Receiving a four star rating from the Charity Navigator, CHOICE Humanitarian deploys in-country native directors who acutely understand critical needs, are passionate about the work, and listen closely to local villagers. The goal of each project is to help villages build pathways out of poverty into sustainable self-reliance.

“When a company like IntelliClear makes the effort to give back to their community and to humanity in general, benefits are seen on all sides. Working together, non-profits and businesses can remedy many of the world’s problems without government intervention,” says Leah Barker, CEO of CHOICE Humanitarian. “CHOICE isn’t about what villagers can do with us and our many donors; it’s ultimately what they can do without us.”
